This month we are working on transitioning the children to their new daily routines in the Toddler Room. There are a lot of new things to explore here, and the daily routines will be a bit different than in the infant room yet we will keep your toddlers very busy and loving every minute of it!
This month with our creative curriculum we will be working on:
Following simple directions
Using gross motor skills through outdoor play, and
Using our fingers and hands to help develop our fine motor skills
We will also be learning about vegetables, bugs and nature. I look forward to the fall weather, and taking the children on nature hunts!
DONATIONS NEEDED:
1 bag of potatoes (by Sept. 12th)
2 bags of whole carrots with tops (by Sept. 12th)
24 ears of corn (by Sept. 26th)

In the toddler room we LOVE to read books! Each month I will place a scholastic flier in your child's cubby. You will then place your orders ONLINE. It's simple once you get started! There are millions of books for ALL AGES for you to purchase. We also have a classroom wish list online as well. If you feel led, donate at any time! Thank you in advance for giving us the joy of reading new books! All you need to do is go online to www.scholastic.com and set your code to H4NRH (it will say Miss Kelly Van Hook's classroom)
Then just add books to your cart and wait for the new books to arrive! It usually takes about a week after me placing the orders, for them to arrive to us.
Books order are due by 10am on September 23rd.

Just a few more reminders:
Please remember to label ALL of your child's items. Shoes, clothing, hats, coats, etc.
Each child is responsible for bringing in a package of unscented, sensitive brand wipes EACH MONTH.
