June News

                                                    Welcome to SUMMER! 

We will be spending most of our time outdoors this summer. 

I'm bringing our curriculum outside!

Please bring in a swim suit, towel, swim shoes if you have them, and  swim diapers for your child to keep at Joyful Noise for water days.  Make sure you LABEL all items please!

Our play yards are in need of a little TLC… if you are willing to donate we could really use items such as: new buckets and shovels (heavy duty ones), any kitchen items (they love to cook!), play ground balls, kitchen set, cars or trikes, or even just money to purchase these items. Please let me know or just drop them off in the classroom or outside the play yard! We are also in need of moving some sand around if anyone has time to help, or a bobcat or dump truck as well! J

FRIDAY, JUNE 9^th is our end of the year Luau!  Around 3:30 in the infants play yard. Please join us as we celebrate our children together with some snacks and outdoor fellowship & fun!  Snack sign up will be on the clip board soon!

Scholastic orders are due by 10am on Friday, June 16^th -

this will be the LAST order of the year so grab those extra books to read this summer!

We are working very hard with the children on using their words when they need or want something.  They are starting to get the hang of it!  If you can help with this at home, that would be great!  We just tell them to “use your words, so I know what you need.”  Especially when they are screaming, or spitting, or crying.  This helpful tool works with not only mealtimes, but all throughout the day!

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns or suggestions!  We have had a great year, and are looking forward to an amazing summer of FUN!

April 2017 Toddler Room Newsletter

 

DID YOU KNOW?  Your toddler should be able to say or repeat

200 words

by 2 years old?

We have been working on language skills in our classroom and helping the children learn the words to use to let us know what they need or want. They have been very receptive to this, and we would love it if you could help with this at home as well!

"You can’t MAKE a child talk, but you can make them WANT to talk!"

Here are a few suggestions: 

**Try not to talk for your child, encourage them to tell you what they need.  If you know what they want, give them the words to use.

**Put things out of reach or into boxes they can see through.  They will then have to ask for what they want.  They may throw a little tantrum or start screaming for the items during this time, yet if you stay strong they will eventually tell what they need.

**Praise them when they do use their words!  High fives, hugs, or just a “thank you for using your words, now I know what you want!”

Read, Read, Read & Sing, Sing, Sing!

Communication is one of the keys to your child's success!

By April 3rd we will need a few items:

A bag of fresh spinach

Pint of Blueberries
1 bag of lemons
4 boxes of spaghetti noodles
Bubble/big bubble wands

February news!

Joyful Noise Toddler’s February 2017 Newsletter

  

Scholastic orders are due by 10am on Thursday, February 16th!  There are a lot of fun new books we have been reading that your child will truly enjoy!

To Charly!  She will turn 2 on February 11th!

Please make sure you label ALL of your child's items...socks included.  There is a small box of lost and found items on our shoe shelf that will be donated on EACH Friday if they are not claimed.

  Don't forget your snow gear!!

It’s Wacky Week!!!

February 13-17

Monday: Pj day (wear your favorite pjs!)

Tuesday:  Crazy hair day (get crazy!)

Wednesday:  Wacky outfit day (get creative!)

Thursday:  Favorite sports team day

Friday:  Valentine’s Day Party: wear pink or red or a valentine shirt

We will try to take photos each day of the children in their “wacky” week attire.  Photos will be posted on the blog throughout the week.

We will be having a Valentine party on FRIDAY, FEB. 17TH around 3ish...  There will be a sign up sheet on the clipboard the week of the party.  Feel free to sign up!  Also, below is a list of the classroom names.  We will be making little bags for the children to put their valentine's in.  Feel free to bring in Valentine's for your child to hand out!  Just place them in their cubby or give them to a teacher and we will distribute them.

apples and pumpkins,

talking about fire safety and taking a field trip to see my husband,

Fire fighter Mike who will show us inside the fire trucks!

We will also be learning about nature and spending as much time outdoors

as we can! 

PLEASE dress your child accordingly, and bring a lightweight jacket

or sweatshirt in case of chilly weather.

REMEMBER TO LABEL ALL ITEMS PLEASE!

15 little pumpkins

1 Large pumpkin for carving and exploring seeds
