Pasta play and paper ripping!

Today we had fun with pasta!

We used our fine motor skills to string pasta on shoe laces!

Dumping and filling is fun too!

We found BIG and SMALL noodles

And Straight and Curly noodles!

Orange and green noodles

And noodles that are the same color, yet different!

Rilynn found a little noodle that matched her big noodle!

We also used our fine motor skills today to rip paper :)

Even everyday things can put your child's skills to work!

Fine motor skills at work

Did you know that ripping paper is one of the basic fine motor skills that most children at the toddler age are not able to do quite yet?  Here we are working on ripping paper and coloring with crayons.  This will help strengthen the children's fingers and is one of our weekly Handwriting without Tears curriculum pieces!
