Toddler's Under Construction!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

We had a very busy day today... from digging in beans with our construction trucks, to running them through shaving cream, to listening to the pop of the trucks running over bubble wrap, it has all been so much fun!

We also made a ramp outside for the children to run their cars down.  The children then  decided to build themselves a rock mountain to see if they could balance on it.

We love watching their imaginations at work!

Fine motor skills at work

Did you know that ripping paper is one of the basic fine motor skills that most children at the toddler age are not able to do quite yet?  Here we are working on ripping paper and coloring with crayons.  This will help strengthen the children's fingers and is one of our weekly Handwriting without Tears curriculum pieces!

Popsicle art!

We had a lot of fun with our fine motor skills today!  We used different textured materials, such as popsicle sticks, pom poms, and tissue paper, to glue down to a big piece of paper to make a cool masterpiece!  Once it's dry, we will try to hang it on the wall for everyone to see.

Squeezing their own glue bottles is a great way to get their fingers moving!  As well as carefully placing small items on the paper. Andrew's imagination was hard at work as he told us he was making a picnic table!

Working hard!

Hello toddler families!

We have been having a great time learning new things this month with the children!  I wanted to share some of the photos with you to show that no matter what "toys" they are given, they will learn from them!  Here we have a few of our Toddler's learning numbers and letters from adding machines and computer keyboards!  If you have any extras laying around the house that you no longer need, feel free to drop them off in the classroom! Enjoy the photos, and thanks for sharing your children with us, we truly love and adore them all!
