We have a busy Month planned!
We are going to make the most of being outdoors while the weather cooperates, as well as learning about Nature, exploring new foods, and doing quite a few sensory projects.
We
are working very diligently on table manners and having the children wait until
a few others are done eating to get down from meal times. We are giving them
the words to say when they are done eating. (say all done & sign it)
If
you could please help us with this at home that would be amazing!
When they
are done, just tell them to use their words, or sign “all done” instead of
screaming or whining.
Giving
them the words to say not only enhances their verbal skills but it also gives
them a sense of empowerment and achievement when they are able to communicate
their needs.
There
are MANY ways to do this throughout the day.
